Paul Giurlanda, Resource Consultant
Born
in Detroit, Michigan in 1946, Paul Giurlanda spent the early years
of his life on the East Coast, attending Catholic University in
Washington, D.C. in the turbulent sixties, and teaching with the
Christian Brothers in New York. Moving to Berkeley in 1976 to
study for his doctoral degree, he discovered that the West Coast
could be even more turbulent than the East. For the last 25 years
he has taught at St. Mary's College of California, where he is
currently Chair of the Religious Studies Department. He loves
the ethnic diversity, cultural riches, and spiritual vitality
of our Oakland Neighborhood .
