Charlotte M. Sagouspe (Secretary)

I was born and reared in Oakland and attended St. Louis Bertrand Elementary School, Bishop O'Dowd High School, University of San Francisco, and Holy Names College. After college I worked for many years in the computerized business services industry at Bank of America, United California Bank, and Automatic Data Processing.

I eventually transferred to Seattle, Washington and went into the non-profit world of community mental health centers. As Data Processing Manager and Finance Director, I worked several years in the Seattle area and, after the birth of my son, John, I moved back to Oakland and continued in this same field.

In 1993 I came to St. Leo's as the secretary/bookkeeper. In 1996 I transferred to St. Joseph/Old Mission San Jose and became the business manager there for seven years. I continued to be the bookkeeper here at St. Leo's throughout this time and, now that my son has graduated from high school and is off to college, I am happy to return as the full time secretary/bookkeeper.

My son, John, attended school here at St. Leo's for a few years. He attended junior high and high school in the Mission San Jose school district where he was able to pursue his love of music. An accomplished violist, he has had the opportunity to travel to Italy, Great Britain, and the Netherlands to play in various international music festivals. He also plays keyboard and guitar. He is attending California State University East Bay and has left me with an empty nest.
